Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Installing, maintaining, and supporting OS2200 software products from the
UNISYS Corp. These products are used at Client Site on UNISYS 2200/9222 and
ClearPath IX5600 mainframes for the development and support of provisioning
applications.
The group tests various releases of vendor products with each application
release for compatibility, functionality and stability before authorizing their use
by the clients. The group also develops C and FORTRAN based APBASE middleware
products that help insulate clients from vendor changes. Duties will include
the planning, support and testing of various UNISYS products and requires
knowledge, or the willingness to learn, UNISYS ECL and products, and excellent
co-ordination and communications skills to interact with the internal application
groups, the vendor, and external customers.
Position Requirements:
MS/CS or equivalent experience. Strong software support skills, including the
abilities to analyze and resolve software problems, to co-ordinate and
communicate changes to the software environment and to quickly develop familiarity with
many software products. Experience with the following technologies: UNISYS
ECL, SB/HMP, COMUS/SOLAR; C/C++/UNIX design and programming. Excellent oral and
written communications, and ability to work well in a fast-paced team
environment, including customers and 3rd-party vendors.
